A vintage mid-20th-century hand-carved hardwood plant stand featuring a stylized elephant base supporting a circular top on a central column. Crafted from dense, dark-stained timber, the elephant figure features inset eye details and carved anatomical modeling typical of traditional artisan woodwork. Its compact proportions and circular top surface make it ideal for displaying potted plants or floral arrangements. Shows general age-appropriate wear and patination throughout. A prominent vertical shrinkage split is present along the torso/flank of the elephant, along with minor checking/cracking across the top surface. Small chip/abrasion noted at the base of one foot, with scattered surface scuffs and light scratches consistent with age. Structural integrity remains sound for display use. Dimensions: 43.5cm h x 30cm l x 27cm diameter top
