This pair features two iconic examples of mid-century European ceramics: a traditional German lidded beer stein and a Danish Modern "Persia" crackle glaze bud vase. The Marzi & Remy beer stein is crafted from salt-glazed stoneware in deep cobalt blue and gray, featuring a detailed relief of two heraldic lions flanking a barrel and topped with a traditional pewter lid. It is inscribed with the classic brewing motto: "Hopfen u Malz, Gott erhalt's" (Hops and Malt, God preserve them). Complementing it is the Marianne Starck cylinder vase from the Michael Andersen & Søn pottery in Denmark.
