This striking mid-century Greek Revival chess set features cast metal chessmen modeled in an abstract, minimalist style inspired by ancient Cycladic figurines and classical Greek columns. The rook pieces are individually stamped "HAND MADE GREECE". One army features a rich verdigris patinated blue finish, while the opposing side retains a warm brass finish. The heavy matching metal board is framed by an etched Greek key (Meander) border with a verdigris patina surround. Overall in good vintage condition with age-appropriate light wear and natural patina. Minor surface rubbing and light tarnish to polished brass areas.
