This unique antique wooden ball-ballot box, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, serves as a fascinating piece of social and institutional history. Commonly used by secret societies, private clubs, or fraternal organizations for secret voting ("blackballing") and lottery drawings, the device features a rotating wooden drum on a sturdy trestle stand with an integrated ball dispenser mechanism on top.
