This is an authentic antique Adlake "Non-Sweating" Railway Signal Lamp, manufactured in London under historical early 20th-century patents. The top cap is clearly embossed with "The Adlake Non-Sweating Lamp London", and the collar features detailed patent plates listing registrations for Great Britain (Dec 18, 1906), India (Feb 12, 1907), and March 18, 1907. Originally designed for rugged railroad signaling, this robust metal lantern features a large, prominent clear Fresnel glass lens to maximize light projection, alongside side and rear viewing ports. It stands approximately 34cm high and is in good vintage condition with a beautifully aged patina, minor surface scratches, and typical wear consistent with its age and utilitarian history. Please note that the internal burner/fount assembly is missing, making it an ideal candidate for restoration, conversion to an electric accent light, or display as a striking piece of industrial militaria and transport history.
