This striking mid-to-late 20th-century Indian brass vase is designed in the traditional, elegant form of a surahi, featuring an elongated tapered neck, a fluted shoulder, and a bulbous body. Originating from renowned metalworking centers in India—such as Moradabad, famously known as the "Brass City"—the piece showcases intricate, hand-engraved floral and leafy vine motifs chiseled across its entire surface. Structurally sound with a substantial weight of 3kg and standing an impressive 52.5cm tall, the vase is in good vintage condition, exhibiting a warm, authentic aged patina with minor surface wear, tarnish, and small oxidation spots consistent with age and gentle use.
